As a senior user experience design major minoring in graphic design at Bradley University, I plan to graduate in May of 2022. Bradley University was always my top choice for college because of their fantastic design program and well-versed administration. I knew design was the best course of action for me because I’ve always had a good eye for digital visuals. From the time I was in middle school I would open up a new website and immediately be able to tell what made it good or bad. I also am an artistic person, being one of those kids who doodles all over the margins of their notes (while still maintaining straight A’s, of course). 

Soon, I learned how I could implement these skills in the real world through user experience design. I am able to use my people skills and strong communication as well as my design abilities to create an app or program that will help people in the long run. In my time at Bradley, I’ve had amazing opportunities to hone these skills in real-world experiences. I’ve been team lead for an OSF Kiosk app for the homeless shelters in Peoria Illinois, I’ve also designed an Apple Watch app fitness/self-care companion, and I’ve done a few graphic design projects with marketing skills being honed as well. I’ve developed strong skills with Adobe Suite including InDesign, Illustrator, XD, and Photoshop. I’ve also gotten comfortable with Figma, Sketch, Miro, Trello, and Notion. I’m a very organizational type and have communication skills allowing me to make sure things get done on any given deadline. I've found I pick up new ideas and follow directions quickly and with ease, being able to finish any tasks with full comprehension. My presentation skills are also something I’ve become comfortable with over the years and look forward to seeing grow even more once I graduate.

On a personal level, I like to spend my free time watching movies or snuggling with my dog, Captain America. When I get a creative moment, I like to use watercolor to paint landscapes or pencil to draw people. I also am passionate about fashion and interior design, especially of the vintage variety, and have plenty of Pinterest boards dedicated to these topics. Etsy is one of my favorite sites to frequent and often find myself favoriting vintage shoes, coats, and bags that I hope to be able to afford one day.
